Nova Iorque é uma cidade vibrante e repleta de novidades. A mistura de influências nota-se na diversidade da gastronomia, ainda que estivesse à espera de encontrar restaurantes mais surpreendentes. Deixo aqueles que mais gostei.

O BG Restaurant foi o primeiro que experimentámos, situado na 5ª Avenida, no 7º andar dos icónicos armazéns com o mesmo nome, é um espaço glamoroso, com boa comida e muita sofisticação. 

New York is a vibrant city where everything happens. The mix of influences is shown on the diversity of its gastronomy, though I was expecting to find more surprising restaurants. Here are the ones I liked the most.

The BG Restaurant was the first one that we have tried. Located at 5th Avenue, on the 7th floor of the iconic department store with the same name, it is a glamorous place, featuring an excellent cuisine and sophistication.

Para prato principal escolhi um Risotto de Gambas.

For the main course, I went for the Prawn’s risotto.

 O André não resistiu ao Lobster Mac and Cheese.

Também no BG Bergdorf, mas no bar, um espaço simpático e despretensioso, experimentei a deliciosa Warm Lobster Roll.

Also at BG Bergdorf, but at their bar, a friendly and informal spot, where I tried the delicious Warm Lobster Roll.

O Ralphs Coffee no número 888 da Madison Avenue em Upper East Side, é definitivamente um local de visita obrigatória para os fãs da marca. Neste espaço glamoroso encontram também a loja feminina, bem como a linha de casa e na rua ao lado, 72nd Street, a loja masculina. 

Ralphs Coffee located in number 888 of Madison Avenue, Upper East Side, is definitely a mandatory place to the fans of the brand. In this glamorous building you can find the woman’s store, as well as the Home Décor collection and the man’s store in front of it at 72nd Street.

A beleza arquitetónica do edifício é igualmente digna de nota. 

The architectural beauty of this site should also be noted.

Este é o local ideal para saborear um Cappucino e fazer uma refeição leve.

This is the ideal place to enjoy a Cappucino and have a light meal.

O Sveta é um restaurante ucraniano com cozinha de fusão europeia. Fica em West Village  e vale a pena pela originalidade dos seus cocktails, que vão mudando consoante a época do ano.  A decoração é bastante instagramável.

Sveta is an Ukrainian restaurant with an European fusion cuisine. You can find in West Village, being worth the visit for the originality of its cocktails, which change according to the time of the year. The décor is also quite instagrammable.

André went for the original Astronaut.

O restaurante Queensyard apresenta uma cozinha americana moderna. Localizado no edifício do Edge em Hudson Yards é o local perfeito para uma refeição antes ou depois de visitar o miradouro, tendo ainda uma vista privilegiada para o Vessel.

Queensyard features Modern American cuisine. Located in the Edge Building at Hudson Yards, is the perfect place to have a meal prior or after going up to the observatory, having also an outstanding view of the Vessel.

A decoração é igualmente incrível.

The decoration is also incredible. 

Não resisti ao Cacio e Pepe com um Aperol Spritz, uma refeição muito italiana no centro de Nova Iorque, mas nem por isso menos deliciosa!

I didn’t resist to the Cacio and Pepe with an Aperol Spritz, a very Italian meal in the center of New York, but equally delicious.

Para a última noite elegemos o icónico Balthazar, no Soho, um restaurante com comida tradicional francesa. Nova Iorque é mesmo um melting pot no que diz respeito à gastronomia.

For the last evening, we selected the iconic Balthazar in Soho, a restaurant with traditional French cuisine. New York is really a melting pot when it comes to gastronomy.

Optei por um Risotto que se revelou uma óptima escolha.

I went for the Risotto which turned out to be an excelent choice.

Sem dúvida uma boa surpresa para a última noite na Big Apple!
